George L. Hainley, 74, High Concrete retiree, hard worker, enjoyed watching the Redskins

George L. Hainley, 74, of Ephrata, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Salisbury Township to the late Norman and Florence (Weidman) Hainley, and was the husband of Vicki (Parmer) Hainley.

George worked for High Concrete before his retirement. He was a hard worker who enjoyed collecting movies, watching the Redskins, and Heineken. He especially loved his three grandkids; and his pit bull, Angel.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by a daughter: Christie S. McBrayer, fiancée of Chris Gilmore, of Ephrata; three grandchildren: Mercedes L. Hertzog, Dylan M. McBrayer, Riley K. McBrayer; two nieces; and a sister: Mary, wife of Rocky Kurtz, of Churchtown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Chad L. Hainley in 2011.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata. Internment will be private at the convenience of the family.
