Geraldine Wascou Stiefel, 89, His & Hers Children’s Shop co-owner, Linden Hall student

Geraldine “Gerry” Wascou Stiefel, 89, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at Lancaster General Hospital.
Gerry was the daughter of the late Louis and Sara (Giltman) Wascou.
Born in Philadelphia, she moved to Lancaster as a teen. A graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, she also attended Linden Hall. In Ephrata, she co-owned the His & Hers Children’s Shop, and later worked at the Pennsylvania State Liquor Store on North Queen Street in Lancaster. She was a longtime member of Congregation Shaarai Shomayim.
Gerry is survived by her two children: Perry A. (Michele) of Lititz; and Shelley Walman (Robbin Myerberg) of Lewes, Del.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers: Albert and Robert Wascou.
Services were held Sept. 22 at Fred F. Groff Inc. Funeral Home, Lancaster. Shiva was observed at 502 Allegiance Drive, Lititz.
