Gloria P. Kellerman, 90, formerly of Ephrata, long-time art teacher in Miami, Florida

Gloria P. Kellerman, 90, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and formerly of Ephrata, died at the Elizabeth Martin Health Center on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Due to health reasons she moved to Iowa in 1997 to be near family.

Born in Annville, on March 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Witmyer) Piersol.

Gloria was an art teacher in the Dade County Public Schools, Miami, Fla. She retired in 1985 after 35 years of service. Prior to moving to Florida, she taught art in Denver, Lancaster County, and Wildwood, N.J.

She is survived by two siblings: Linda Boyd, wife of E. Bruce Boyd, Alexandria, Va.; and David Piersol, Cedar Falls, Iowa; three nieces: Jody Boyd, Alexandria, Va.; Melanie Monzon, Springfield, Ohio; and Jill Piersol, Springfield, Ohio; two nephews: Bruce L. Boyd, Sammamish, Wash.; and Timothy Boyd, Alexandria, Va.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and memorial service at the Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, on Friday, July 22, from 1 to 2 p.m. The memorial service will be held following the visitation at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, on Millersville Road.
