Gordon Lee Steely, 70, stone mason, enjoyed tractors, watching wrestling, time with family

Gordon Lee Steely, 70, of Denver, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Leroy and Laura (Steely) Landis, and was the husband of the late Bonnie L. (Werner) Steely.

Gordon was a stone mason. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching wrestling, and all things tractors.

Gordon is survived by three children: Gordon L. Smedley; Tina M. Steely, companion of Bill Knaby II; Tammy Lee Burd, companion of Gregory L. Walker; three grandchildren: Elizabeth Bonnie, wife of Jason Marencic; Victoria Bonnie Knaby; Nicholas Alexander Burd; two brothers: Leroy Landis II, and Donald Landis.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., with Pastor Timothy Craven officiating. Interment will take place in the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stouchsburg.
