Harold K. White, Sr., vet, Sertoma Club district gov.

Harold K. White, Sr., 81, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the loving husband of June (Andes) White with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage this past March.

He graduated from Timken Technical High School in Canton, Ohio and worked as a technician at the former RCA Company for 29 years and served as the president of the union for 14 years. He was later employed by the Garber Scale Co. of Lancaster. Harold was a former member of the Conestoga and Ephrata Sertoma Club and served two terms as district governor. He was a former member at Concordia Lutheran Church where he was active in the church council and was a current member of Reformation Lutheran Church, Salunga. He was a Penn State fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his loving wife, June, he is survived by his four daughters: Mary, wife of Doug Henry, of Mt. Joy; Marion, wife of Ray Radinsky, of New Providence; Maria Davenport, of Ephrata; Carol, wife of Peter Fisher, of Holtwood and son: Harold, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a sister: Carol Baughman, of Canton, Ohio. Also surviving are two step-daughters: Jeri Brenner, of Mt. Joy; Paula Haines, of Lancaster and a step-son: Jeffrey, husband of Denise Haines, of Willow St. He was preceded in death by a son: John White; granddaughter: Lori Barley and two sisters: Twila Price and Lila Ellers.

Funeral services were held Dec. 2, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, Lancaster, with Rev. Luke Seamon officiating. Interment was in Conestoga Memorial Park.
