Helen K. Wenger, 94, Adamstown, worked at Bollman Hat, volunteered at Luther Acres

Helen K. Wenger, 94, of Adamstown, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Luther Acres in Lititz.

She was born in Brecknock Township to the late S. Earl and Katie E. (Fry) Hyman and was the wife of the late Noah Y. Wenger.

She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Adamstown, a member of the Gouglersville Hillltoppers, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and at Luther Acres during her time there. In the early years, Helen was in charge of the trim department for the Bollman Hat Co.

Helen is survived by three grandchildren: Barry (Brenda) Huey, Douglas (Lois) Huey, and Krista (Rick) Sullivan; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Karen Eileen Huey.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m., at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 80 E. Main St., Adamstown, with Rev. Sandra Gideon officiating. Interment will be private at the Indiantown Mennonite Cemetery.
