Irvin H. Nolt, 87, Hinkletown Mennonite member, retired dairy farmer, Dodgers fan

Irvin H. Nolt, 87, of Ephrata, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Fairmount Homes Inc.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Daniel M. and Katie B. (Hoover) Nolt and was the husband of Mary Elizabeth Nolt, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Irvin was a member of Hinkletown Mennonite Church, Ephrata. He was a retired Dairy Farmer. Irvin enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, traveling, listening to bluegrass music, and was a Dodgers baseball fan.

In addition to his wife, Irvin is survived by two sons: Eugene M., husband of Joyce L. (Eberly) Nolt of Ephrata, Ronald M., husband of Capri E. (Draft) Nolt of Newmanstown; two daughters: Joyce N., wife of Leonard H. Martin of Ephrata, Carol M., wife of Stephen Hildebrand of Akron; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant son: Roger M. Nolt; and a sister: Irene H. Sauder.

Services will be held May 8 at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 28th Division Highway, Ephrata, with Pastor Glenn Sauder officiating, at 10 a.m. Viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will take place in the Hinkletown Mennonite Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Irvin’s memory may be made to Fairmount Homes Sharing Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522.
