Ivan Henry Stricker Sr., 72, landscaper, scrap metal hauler, enjoyed hunting, restoring old trucks

Ivan Henry Stricker Sr., 72, of Reinholds, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at home.

He was born in Denver to the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Getz) Stricker, and was the husband of Bertha Marie (Trimble) Stricker, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

He attended Dove Fellowship in Ephrata. He enjoyed hunting, helping his son restore old trucks, and spending time with family. Ivan worked as a landscaper for Stanley Hess and was a self-employed scrap metal hauler.

In addition to his wife, Ivan is survived by four children: Theresa, wife of Gary Werner of Newmanstown; Cindy, wife of Bryan Shaver of Reinholds; Ivan Jr., husband of Stacey (Hainley) Stricker of Lititz; and Scott L, husband of Valerie (Ingram) Stricker of Stevens; eight grandchildren: Scott Stricker Jr., Tamara and Sara Werner, Austin Shaver, Allen Stricker, Carrie Stricker, Mark E. Wolf Jr., and Kayla L. Wolf; a great-grandson: Axel James Wolf; a sister: Charlotte, wife of James Chambers of Quarryville; and a brother: Kenneth Stricker of Denver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Dotty Lynn, wife of Mark Wolf; four brothers: Chester, Lester, Edwin and Jakey Stricker; and two sisters: Hattie Chambers and Ida Rudy.

Services were held March 11 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver, with LeMarr Sensenig officiating. Interment took place in the Swamp Cemetery.
