James B. Steffy, 88, Korea vet, Terre Hill Concrete worker, loved remote-control planes

James B. Steffy, 88, of Terre Hill, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at his residence.
He was the husband of Ethel J. (Heck) Steffy. They were married on June 13, 1951 and celebrated more than 65 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Levi and Amanda (Beck) Steffy.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked for more than 25 years for Terre Hill Concrete as shop supervisor and mechanic until his retirement.
He was a member of Cocalico Propbusters, and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He enjoyed building and flying remote-control model airplanes and riding motorcycles.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son: Daniel J. Steffy, who lives in Terre Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, at 2 p.m., at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill, with Pastor Bradley Haws officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Ephrata. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
