Jean A. Beamesderfer, 76, Liverpool, managed Liverpool American Legion, enjoyed fishing

Jean A. Beamesderfer, 76 of Liverpool, formerly of the Denver/Adamstown area, entered into eternal rest Oct. 29, 2014 at The Manor at Perry Village, New Bloomfield.

She was the wife of Kenneth Beamesderfer, who survives. Jean was born on January 10, 1938 in Lancaster County. She retired as Manager of the Liverpool American Legion Post 364.

Jean was a member of the Liverpool American Legion Auxiliary and a life time member of the Hunters Valley Sportsman’s Association. She enjoyed fishing.

In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Sherry and Jay Stewart of Adamstown; and a son and daughter-in-law: Kenneth “Scott” and Lisa (Snook) Beamesderfer of Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren: Brooke Stewart, Matthew Beamesderfer, and Amber Beamesderfer; a great-grandson: Elliot Scott Beamesderfer; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson she raised: Kevin Beamesderfer; a granddaughter: Summer Daye Stewart; and a sister and brother-in-law: Judy and Gene Johnson.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Liverpool American Legion Post 364, 306 Pine Street, Liverpool. Officiating will be Rev. Anne Myers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Jean to Homeland Hospice 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 115, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

George P. Garman Funeral Homes, Mt. Pleasant Mills, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
