John E. Williams Sr., 77, Ephrata, Lancaster Bible College grad, enjoyed time in the Adirondacks

John E. Williams Sr., 77, of Ephrata, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Ephrata Manor in Ephrata.

He was the husband of Shirley (Keach) Williams with whom he had celebrated 55 years of marriage on March 4.

Born in Philadelphia, he was raised at Christ Home for Children in Paradise. When he was of age, he moved to Christ Home in Warminster. He was a member of Calvary Church when the Rev. Dr. Torry was pastor and he graduated from Lancaster Bible College, where he met his wife, Shirley. John enjoyed woodworking, reading, music, and traveling cross country. John loved spending time in the Adirondacks and family was very important to him.

In addition to his wife: Shirley; he is survived by three sons: John E. Williams II, husband of Jennifer (Moran) Williams, of Mechanicsburg; Robert B. Williams, husband of Donna (Porter) Williams, of Holden, Mass.; Timothy J. Williams, husband of Lisa (Landini) Williams, of Hubbardston, Mass.; one daughter: Sharon M., wife of Frederick Rittenhouse, of Ephrata; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m., in the Donecker Chapel at Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata. Interment will be held privately.
