Josephine R. Fitz, 90, Prospect Park, worked for Scott Paper, enjoyed travel, housework

Josephine R. Fitz, 90, of Prospect Park, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park.

She was born in Chester to the late Salvatore and Lucy (Petrucelli) Lups and was the wife of the late Peter Fitz who passed away in April of 1996.

Josephine was a member of St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church in Norwood. She enjoyed the beach, flower gardening, housework, traveling, and she loved children. In the earlier years, she was a production worker for the Scott Paper Co.

Josephine is survived by her close friend: Diane M. Adamczyk of Ephrata, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her uncle and aunt: Alexander and Clara Sacco, who raised her; and a sister: Mary Hendrickson.

Services were held Feb. 16 at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church, Norwood, with Fr. Anthony Orth as celebrant. She was interred in the SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.

Memorial contributions in Josephine’s memory may be made to the St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood, PA 19074.
