Judith L. Meehan, 78, Ephrata, certified medical/surgical assistant, attended Bethany UCC

Judith L. Meehan, 78, of Ephrata, formerly of Bradenton, Fla., passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Ephrata Manor.

She was the wife of Kenneth J. Meehan and daughter of the late Wayne C. and Dorothy (Morse) Lovell.

Judith was born and raised in Worcester, Mass., and lived in the surrounding area until moving to Florida in 1996.

She graduated from Becker Junior College in Leicester, Mass., and worked in many roles in the medical field throughout the years. She was a certified medical and surgical assistant for a busy surgeon’s office in Worcester, Mass., for most of her career. Judith was a lifetime member of Park Congregational Church in Worcester, Mass., and also a member of Bethany United Church of Christ in Ephrata.

In addition to her husband of 41 years, Kenneth, Judith is survived by five children: Jennifer, wife of John Dufresne, of Ephrata; Cynthia, wife of Robert Hopkins, of Corpus Christi, Texas; Michelle Meehan of Delaware; David Holmes, husband of Bonni, of North Brookfield, Mass.; and Erin McGlyn of Cherry Valley, Mass; 15 grandchildren, including beloved grandson Tyler Joshua, 10, of Ephrata; sister: Linda (Lovell) Smith of Leicester, Mass.; niece and nephew: Kerry (Ruggiere) Arguijo Christopher Ruggiere of Worcester, Mass.

A service was held Oct. 24 at the Donecker Chapel at Ephrata Manor. She was interred at Bethany Cemetery, Ephrata Township.
