Kathleen A. Sweigart, 80, organist and choir director at St. Paul’s UCC, mother of three

Kathleen A. Sweigart, 80, Denver, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, in Ephrata Manor.

Born in Brecknock Township, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mamie (Weinhold) Seifrit, she was married to Richard E. Sweigart for 59 years.

A graduate of the former Mohnton High School, she was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Bowmansville, where she served as longtime organist, pianist and choir director.

Also surviving are sons: Perry M. (Robin) Sweigart, Elizabethtown; and David S. Sweigart, Akron; a daughter: Tammy Sue Stevanus, Jacksonville, N.C.; and grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicholas, and Amber.

A sister, Evelyn Styer, predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m., from Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with Rev. Dr. Robert B. Peiffer officiating. Burial will follow in Bowmansville Union Cemetery. There will be a viewing Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., and immediately prior to the service on Friday.

Online condolences may be offered at goodfuneral.com. Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown, had charge of the arrangements.
