Kathryn Fitterling, 88, Triple G Farms secretary, Peace UCC member, enjoyed playing cards
Kathryn Fitterling, 88, Ephrata Manor, formerly of Denver, died Feb. 3, 2017, in Ephrata Hospital.
Born in Adamstown, a daughter of the late Amos Glass and Stella (Hornberger) Glass Lausch, she was married to Marvin G. Fitterling for 56 years.
A member of Peace United Church of Christ, she was the chairperson of the health and welfare committee for 25 years. Kathryn was a secretary for Triple G Farms and E & F Trucking, and was an avid card player.
Also surviving is her daughter: Karen F. (Art P.) Pannebecker, Denver; stepson: Dale Fitterling, Denver; stepdaughter: Vicki (Gary) Welsch, Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Penny Showalter, Connie Wolf, and Chad Pannebecker; two step-grandsons; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister: Alverta Kilhefner, Denver.
She was predeceased by her first husband: Mark E. Althouse, in 1957; and a brother: George Glass.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m., from Peace UCC, 37 E. Swartzville Road, Denver, with the Rev. William E. Hoch officiating. Viewings will be Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, and Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the church. Burial followed in Mellinger’s Cemetery, Schoeneck.
