LaVera A. Paul, 84, Ephrata, Zinn’s waitress, co-owned Five Mile House Tavern

LaVera A. Paul, 84, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Ephrata Manor.
She was born in Detroit, Mich., to the late Stewart and Verna (Baumgartner) Arner, and was the wife of the late Allen D. Paul.
She was a member of Wyomissing United Church of Christ, Gouglersville. LaVera worked as a waitress at Zinn’s in the early 1950s; and was the co-owner of the Five Mile House Tavern in Cumru Township from 1957 to 1975 with Richard L. Mohn.
LaVera is survived by son: Kerry, husband of Anne Mohn, of Sinking Spring; daughter: Marcy A. Mohn of Sinking Spring; stepson: Jeffrey, husband of Cindy Paul, of Sinking Spring; three grandchildren: Christian, Richard, and Laura Mohn; and a step-grandson: Stephen “Stevie” Paul.
LaVera was preceded in death by a son: Richard B. Mohn.
Services were held March 15 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver, with the Rev. Selina Hamilton officiating. Interment took place in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
