Lindsay Gayle Gorsuch, 33, EHS class of ‘99, active in the Lititz community, avid photographer
Lindsay Gayle Gorsuch, 33, of Lititz, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was born in Lancaster to David P. Martin and Barbara (Sheaffer), wife of W. Leonard Litzenberger and was the wife of John W. Gorsuch III with whom she shared 10 years of marriage.
Lindsay attended the Lititz United Methodist Church. She was a 1999 graduate of Ephrata High School and a 2002 graduate of The Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a major in criminal justice and a minor in child development. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and family and visiting the library with her children. She was actively involved in the Lititz Springs Swim Team, the Lititz Mom’s Club and the MOPS group at the LCBC Church. She also enjoyed photography and was an avid coupon clipper. Lindsay was a stay at home mom, worked part time at the Giant in Lititz. She had previously worked on the Therapeutic Support Staff for the Community Service Group of Lancaster.
In addition to her husband and parents; she is survived by her three children: Juliana, Mikayla and Gavin at home; maternal grandparents: Amos and Edna (Hall) Sheaffer of Lancaster; two brothers: Jason, husband of Sarah (Romig) Martin of Ephrata, Joshua, husband of Stephanie (Ligas) Anderson of Indiana, Pa.; a step brother: Brian, husband of Kim Litzenberger of Womelsdorf; two step sisters: Charlene, wife of Scott Schaeffer of Reinholds and Tammy Litzenberger of Adamstown.
Services will be held May 14 at 10 a.m. at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market St., Lititz, with Pastor Jerry McGrath and Pastor Jamie Mitchell officiating. Viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Lindsay’s memory may be made to the Lititz United Methodist Church (specify for the benefit of the Gorsuch children) 201 E. Market St., Lititz, PA 17543.
