Lisa A. Whitmeyer, 55, architect, designed the Ephrata War Memorial Field Wall, dog rescuer

Lisa A. Whitmeyer, 55, of Bristol, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at VNA of Greater Philadelphia Home Health Hospice.

She was born in Ephrata to Norma J. (Eshleman) and the late P. Ronald Whitmeyer

Lisa was an architect for Midatlantic Construction and Design. She was a graduate of Ephrata High School, University of Toledo and Drexel University. She enjoyed gardening, designing, decorating and rescuing dogs. In earlier years she enjoyed playing field hockey. She designed the Ephrata War Memorial Field Wall.

In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by a brother: J. Scott, husband of Sandy (Mohler) Whitmeyer of Ephrata; a sister: Jodi Earhart, companion of Sam Thomas of Ephrata; four nephews: Kyle M. and Chad M. Whitmeyer, Michael and Joshua Watterson; and four great-nephews: Ian M. Whitmeyer, Hunter P., Wyatt and Jace Watterson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
