Lynn D. Sprecher, 71, Air Force vet, welder, enjoyed hunting, fishing along Juniata River

Lynn D. Sprecher, 71, formerly of Terre Hill, died Aug. 13, 2017, in his Brecknock Township residence.

He was the husband of Kathleen Ann (Harter) Sprecher, who he married July 19, 1969. Born in West Reading on Aug. 18, 1945, he was a son of Kathleen E. (Hirneisen) Sprecher of Lititz, and the late Arlington D. Sprecher Sr.

Lynn was a 1963 graduate of Garden Spot High School. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Gouglersville. Lynn was employed and a member of Local Union 420, UA Steamfitters and Pipefitters, Philadelphia, working mostly as a welder in power plants around Pennsylvania.

He was an Air Force veteran, serving two years in Guam and two in Maine. Lynn enjoyed hunting and fishing at his cabin and trailer along the Juniata River in Lewistown. He also enjoyed traveling and fishing in Canada.

Most important to Lynn was his family and his four daughters: Faith A. Sprecher of Shillington; Dawn M. Sprecher of Longmont, Colo.; Abby L. (Sprecher) Laity of Cumru Township; and Stacey K. Sprecher, wife of James Wall, of Spring Township. Other survivors include three siblings: Sandra, widow of Richard Jenkins, of Lititz; Arlington D. II, husband of Kathleen Sprecher, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Sharon, widow of Sam Harris, of Tennessee. There are also five grandchildren: Thomas J. Coleman, Cody M. Coleman, Sienna A. Sprecher, Paige J. Wall, and Alyssa S. Whitehead.

At Lynn’s request, services will be held privately.
