Mack C. Fisher, 85, Korea veteran, accountant, active at Salem Lutheran, 50-year Mason

Mack C. Fisher, 85, of Lititz, formerly of Greenville, Miss., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at Luther Acres.

He was the loving husband of Janet A. (Althouse) Fisher, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Mack was born in Sunflower, Miss., son of the late Levi and Lena (Burlison) Fisher.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Ephrata, where he was formerly an usher and church council member. Mack served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and was a member of the Ephrata American Legion. He was also a 50-year member of Ephrata Blue Lodge #665 F&AM.

Mack worked as an accountant for over 40 years, most recently at the Lancaster County Controller’s Office.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four grandsons: Robert, Christopher, David, and Michael; two great-grandchildren: Dylan and Alyssa; daughter-in-law: Karen S. Fisher; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mack was preceded in death by his daughter: Patricia A. Zerphey; son: Thomas L. Fisher; and siblings: Clara, Lottie, Estelle, and Clifford.

Friends will be received at the Chapel of the Good Samaritan at Luther Acres, 250 Saint Luke Drive, Lititz, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. Memorial services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
