Marian B. Garman, 90, Ephrata, died peacefully Feb. 4, 2015, in Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Brownstown, she was the daughter of Lemon and Margie Bear.

Living most of her life in Ephrata, she worked for several finance companies and in the office at Ephrata K-Mart. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and The Golden Years Club. Marian was an avid Penn State football fan, a card shark (playing in several groups through December), a lover of mystery novels, and a dog lover who very recently learned to appreciate a good lap cat.

Surviving are a daughter: Cynthia A. Spotts, partner of Kim Chappell, Cochranville; stepdaughter: Gail (Reuben) Horning, Denver; grandchildren: Joel (Sarah) Horning, Matthew (Alison) Horning, and Beth Horning; a great-granddaughter: Virginia Rose Horning; daughter-in-law: Janice Spotts, Stevens; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband: Paul F. Spotts Jr., in 1955; her second husband: Walter A. Garman, in 1998; her son: Daryl L. Spotts, in 2000; and siblings: Clarence, Robert, and Lillian Bear; Gladys Brubaker; and Anna Mae St. Clair.

Services were held Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment followed in Millport Union Cemetery.
