Mary Ann Quagliata, 66, loved music and travel

Mary Ann Quagliata, 66, of Ephrata, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.

She was born in Jamaica Queens, N.Y., to the late Emil and Etta Piwowarski and was the wife of Anthony Quagliata, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.

During her working years, Mary Ann worked in retail.

In addition to her husband, Mary Ann is survived by a son: Carlo, husband of Julie Quagliata of Lititz; a daughter: Antoinette Quagliata of Ephrata; two grandchildren: Anthony and Connie Quagliata; a brother: Anthony Piwowarski; and two sisters: Theresa Farrell and Dorothy Ennis.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Joseph, Emil and Steven Piwowarski; and a sister: Helen Snow.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 9 at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Ephrata, with Father John McLoughlin, CSSR officiating. Final Commendation and Farewell will be held at the Grandview Memorial Park, Anneville. Memorial contributions in Mary Ann’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Mary Ann, beloved wife, mother and grandmother. You were a loving and caring soul who loved music, life, traveling and shopping. You put up a brave fight for two years. You were called home to be with Jesus and your suffering has ended. May you rest in eternal peace until we see you again.
