Mary Augsburger, 102, Blainsport Mennonite Church member, loved gardening, flowers

Mary Augsburger, 102, of Richland, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at Reading Health System.

She was born in Leola, on April 26, 1914, to the late John F. and Emma (Zook) Smoker, and was the wife of the late Jacob Augsburger who passed away in 1972.

She was a member of the Blainsport Mennonite Church for many years. She loved gardening and flowers.

Mary is survived by a son: Walter Augsburger and wife Sara of Reinholds; a daughter: Leona Weaver of Richland, with whom Mary resided; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, David, Melvin, and Reuben Smoker; and a sister: Anna Lapp.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Lydia Huyard, Simon Smoker, Ruth Fisher, Naomi King, Priscilla Bawell, Betty Smoker, and James Smoker.

Services were held April 26 at Blainsport Mennonite Church, Reinholds, with Pastors Eric Marshall and Keith Weaver officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
