Mary E. Schaeffer, 84, worked at Graco and Hope Hosiery, mother of two, enjoyed crocheting

Mary E. Schaeffer, 84, of Ephrata, formerly of Narvon, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Fairmount Homes.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Leon J. Schaeffer, in 1992. Born in Brecknock Township, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Elsie Mae (Wert) Schlouch.

Through the years, Mary worked at Graco and Hope Hosiery. She enjoyed crocheting items for her family and friends.

Surviving are two sons: Terry L., married to Mary (Messner) Schaeffer, Narvon; and David L., married to Amy (Pellicone) Schaeffer, of North Carolina; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and two brothers: Harvey Schlouch Jr. and James Schlouch, both of Narvon.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Alvin Schlouch.

Services were Aug. 12 at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, with Pastor Larry Weber officiating. Interment was in Allegheny Union Cemetery.
