Mary Grace Suhrbier, 1, Ephrata

Mary Grace Suhrbier died peacefully at home Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015.

Born Aug. 20, 2014, she was the daughter of Dr. Pierre W. and Kate P. Suhrbier of Ephrata.

Mary Grace was born with alobar holoprosencephaly. She was blind and deaf with a cleft lip and palate and suffered almost continuous seizures during her brief lifetime.

Mary Grace will be lovingly missed by her five siblings: Morgan K. Donovan of Hoboken, N.J.; and Madeleine, Gretchen, Peter, and Sophia at home. She is also survived by her grandparents: Dr. Hans and Aliette Suhrbier of Ephrata; and Dr. Charles T. Pavlick Jr. and Martha Pavlick of York; her uncles and aunts: Dr. Christian and Lori Suhrbier of Myerstown; Jack and Linda S. Schofield of Egg Harbor, N.J.; Charles C. Pavlick of Washington, D.C.; Thomas and Dana Pavlick; Dr. Steven and Dr. Elizabeth-Jane McGuire; and Sean and Anne Van Eman, all of Pennsylvania; as well as 21 cousins.

A viewing is set for Oct. 22 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Paul L. Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main St. Ephrata. Mass of the Angels will be celebrated by Father Pat McGarrity at 11 a.m. on Oct. 22 at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church 320 Church Ave. Ephrata. Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, State St. Ephrata.
