Mary Moyer, 99, volunteerthroughout Ephrata area
Mary E. Moyer, 99, of Ephrata, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at Denver Nursing Home.
She was born in Reinholds, daughter of the late Daniel and Katie (Gromis) Klapp. She was the widow of the late Earl Moyer, who passed away in 1991.
Mary was a member of Swamp United Church of Christ, AMVETS Home Association, VFW Post #3376 in Ephrata and the Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a sister: Fannie Shirker, of Ephrata; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Hattie Wike and Louise Riehl; and four brothers: Ralph Klapp, Daniel Klopp, Paul Klopp and Richard Klopp.
A viewing will be held at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St. in Ephrata, from 1-2 p.m. June 2. Funeral services will follow with the Rev. John Fry officiating. Interment will be in Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery.
