Mary N. Hoover, 95, formerly of Reinholds, Farmview Mennonite member, mother of six

Mary N. Hoover, 95, of Pine Grove, formerly of Reinholds, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at her residence.

She was born in West Earl Township to the late Elmer and Mary (Nolt) High, and was the wife of the late Eli W. Hoover.

She was a member of the Farmview Mennonite Church in Schuylkill County.

Mary is survived by six children: Harold, husband of Eva Jane (Nolt) Hoover, of Lititz; Ellen H., wife of Marvin Martin, of New Holland; Mary Edna H., wife of Paul Oberholtzer, of Curtiss, Wisc.; Lucille H., wife of Wilmer Martin, of Pine Grove; Elvin, husband of Anna Mae (Martin) Hoover, of Reinholds; Mark, husband of Kay (Paisley) Hoover, of Landenberg; 18 grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 54 step-great-grandchildren; 25 step-great-great-grandchildren; and six siblings: Lydia N. Sensenig of Terre Hill; Ada N. Long of Ephrata; Esther N., wife of Irwin Nolt, of Ephrata; Ivan N. High of Pine Grove; Vera N. Zimmerman of New Holland; Laura N. Martin of Ephrata.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by five brothers: Melvin, Aaron, Edwin, Elmer, and John High; and a sister: Emmaline Reiff.

Services were held April 27 at Cocalico Mennonite Church, Denver, with Bishops Mark Ray Sadler and Melvin Martin and Preachers Bryan Martin and Walter Zimmerman officiating. Interment took place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
