Myron L. Fasnacht, 74, former teacher, athlete
Myron L. Fasnacht, 74, formerly of Ephrata and Lancaster, entered into rest at Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople, Wednesday, May 1, 2013.
He was born in Ephrata to Walter and Clara (Ziegler) Fasnacht. He was married May 6, 1961 to Ellen J. (Kraftician) Fasnacht who passed away in 2007.
Myron was a 1957 graduate of Ephrata High School and a 1961 graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College. During high school, he was a starting end on the undefeated football team of 1956. He also played baseball and basketball. During his working years, Myron was a special education teacher for the Eastern York School District. He also was an assistant football coach at Manheim Central, Eastern York and Lancaster Catholic High Schools.
Myron is survived by a son: Matthew L. Fasnacht of Zelienople. He was preceded in death by a brother: Galen Fasnacht.
A viewing was held May 5 at the Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata. Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
