Nancy Miller, 79, cemetery treasurer, teller, volunteer

Nancy W. (Wolf) Miller, 79, of Lititz, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Moravian Manor.

She was born in Akron, to Arthur Z. Wolf, of Landis Homes, and the late Leona (Brown) Wolf. She was the wife of the late Carl B. Miller, who passed away in 2004.

Nancy was a member of Lititz Moravian congregation. She especially enjoyed her family, helping others, cross stitching, flower gardening, cooking, baking and being outdoors.

Nancy served as a volunteer at both her church doing mailings and at Moravian Manor. She was the past treasurer for Wolf’s Cemetery in Ephrata Township.

During her working years, Nancy was a bank teller for Fulton Bank, Akron/Ephrata location for 23 years. She was a caregiver for her father since retirement from the bank.

Nancy is survived by two sons: Donald E., husband of Gayle (Lick) Miller, of Cresco; and Dan L., husband of Janis (Bowman) Miller, of Akron; two daughters: Debra A., wife of C. Douglas Sweigart, of Denver; and Diane L., wife of Dan C. Plummer, of State College; 10 grandchildren: Shannon, wife of Richard Crowder; Lori, wife of Matthew Hans; Lisa, wife of Chris Trickett; Daniel Plummer; Sarah Miller; Seth Miller; Dustin, husband of Sarah Miller; Laura, wife of Marshall Sensenig; Daril Miller; and Justin Plummer; eight great-grandchildren: Holly, Tyler, Clayton, Caitlin, Miranda, Julia, Olivia and Anna; four brothers: Jay Wolf, of New Providence; George, husband of Phyllis Wolf, of Akron; Vern, husband of Charlotte Wolf, of Manheim; and Jesse, husband of Sandy Wolf, of Lititz; and a sister: Patsy, wife of John Hess, of Lititz.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother: Orie Wolf.

A memorial service will be held June 3 at 2 p.m. at the Steinman Hall of Moravian Manor, 300 W. Lemon St. in Lititz, with Pastor Dean Jurgen and Chaplain Richard Thierolf officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the chapel. Light refreshments will be served. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
