Noah Z. Horst, 79, Ephrata, owned Horst Plumbing, Meadow Valley Mennonite member

Noah Z. Horst, 79, of Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at the Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Clay Township to the late Edwin and Catherine (Zimmerman) Horst and was the husband of Arlene B. (Eberly) Horst. The couple was married March 30, 1957.

He was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. Noah was a former mechanic and was the owner/operator of Horst Plumbing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Nevin, husband of Dawn (Sensenig) Horst of Ephrata; Linford Horst of Ephrata; Larry Horst of Ephrata; two daughters: Rosene, wife of Galen Hoover of Lititz; Suzanne, wife of Roy Zimmerman of Denver; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers: Ezra, husband of Alma Horst of Quarryville; Melvin, husband of Arlene Horst of Cochranville; Paul, husband of Margaret Horst of Lititz; and a sister-in-law: Elizabeth Horst of Carlisle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Edwin Horst; and four infant sisters.

Services were held Feb. 13 at Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishop Lester B. Martin, ministers Elam Ray Martin and Ray Martin officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
