Pamela J. Smith, 52, Akron, enjoyed sewing, quilting
Pamela J. Smith, 52, of Akron, died unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 of natural causes.
Born Dec. 31, 1960 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Esther L. (Dick) Markley and the late Donald I. Markley. She was married to Paul R. Smith, Jr. Paul died in 1994.
Pam enjoyed sewing and making quilts for her family. She also enjoyed cats and spending time with her family.
She will be lovingly missed by a daughter: Kristine L., wife of Mark Pugh, of Akron; her mother: Esther, of Lancaster; two grandchildren: Lucas and Nathan; a sister: Robin, wife of Jeffrey Neely, of Lancaster and three brothers: Donald Markley, husband of Carolyn, of San Diego, Calif.; Brian Markley, of Lancaster and Brent Markley, husband of Kathleen, of Willow Street.
A celebration of Pam’s life was held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lancaster, Dec. 28. Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
