Patsy Ruth Butterfield, 83, former certified nursing assistant, enjoyed reading and volunteering

Patsy Ruth Butterfield, 83, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Calvary Homes.
She was born in Bethany, Okla., to the late Edward and Agnes (Still) Morehead, and was the wife of the late Edward L. Butterfield, who passed away in 2011.
She was a member of Kingdom Life International Assembly Church, Lancaster. She enjoyed reading, knitting and volunteering at various nursing homes and hospitals. Patsy was a certified nursing assistant at Fairview Manor in Grants Pass, Ore.
Patsy is survived by three sons: Robert Butterfield of Boulder City, Colo.; Michael, husband of Sandy Butterfield, of Medford, Ore.; Don, husband of Debbie Butterfield, of Idaho; a stepson: Frank Butterfield of Florida; a daughter: LouAnna Sue Atkins of Eureka, Calif.; three step-daughters: Marian Means of Newmanstown; Anna Schmeck of Stevens; Sandra Hostetter of Reinholds; a brother: Kent, husband of Ellen Morehead, of Texas; a sister: Joyce Morehead; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a stepson: Charles Kreider; and a sister: Laverne Turner.
A graveside service will be held Jan. 31 at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with Pastor Patrick Brown officiating.
