Paul Eugene Martin, 71, Ephrata, PSU grad, father of three, Maxima Technologies worker

Paul Eugene “Gene” Martin, 71, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at his residence.

He was born in Lancaster to the late J. Paul and Esther (Wise) Martin, and was the husband of Esther Mae (Weaver) Martin, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.

Gene was a deacon at Evangel Assembly of God and later attended The Worship Center. He was a 1964 graduate of Garden Spot High School and graduated from Penn State University in 1969 with an associates degree in engineering. He had worked at Maxima Technologies for 40 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Renee, wife of Douglas Waage; Lori, wife of Drew Myers; a son: Nathan, husband of Jodi Martin; 10 grandchildren; two brothers: Rick and Troy Martin; and two sisters: Betty Martin and Wanda Bachman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Jeanette Martin.

Services were held July 7 at Harvest Fellowship, Stevens, with Pastors Eugene Weaver and Rick Martin officiating. Interment took place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex.
