Pauline S. Stanley, 93, former farmer, Letourneau U. worker, Reamstown CoG member

Pauline S. Stanley, 93, of Stevens, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Montgomery County, N.C., to the late Marian Marquette and Alcie (Thompson) Strother, and was the wife of the late Elijah Louis Stanley, who died in 2015.

Pauline was a member of the Reamstown Church of God in Stevens. While living in Texas, she enjoyed farm life raising cattle, goats, donkeys, geese, and horses.

Pauline worked in customer operations in High Point, N.C.; and Gilford County, N.C., and later was employed at Letourneau University in Longview, Texas, in the development department.

Pauline is survived by a son: Stephen, husband of Dianna (Windsor) Shull of Denver; a stepdaughter: Brenda Stanley Hart of Asheboro, N.C.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two stepsons: Baxter Lee Stanley and Danny Allen Stanley; two sisters: Katherine Fossett and Marie Samoff; and a brother: Irving Strother.

Services were held Sept. 17 at Reamstown Church of God, Stevens, with Pastor Joel Hainley officiating. Interment took place in the Mellingers Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pauline’s memory may be made to Fairmount Homes Sharing Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522.
