Raymond R. Miller Jr., 84, Korea vet, worked at Weave Corp., Ephrata VFW member, avid fisherman

Raymond R. Miller Jr., 84, Stevens, died Aug. 19, 2016, in Mifflin Center, Shillington.

Born in Ephrata, a son of the late Raymond R. Sr. and Daisy (Moyer) Miller, he was married 55 years to Margaret A. “Maggie” Miller.

A Korean War Air Force veteran, he worked as a millwright and diesel mechanic for Bethlehem Steel-Grace Mines, Morgantown; and later for Weave Corp., Denver. Ray was an avid fisherman and a member of Ephrata VFW.

Also surviving are his daughters: Carla S. Wiest, Stevens; and Tracy L. (William H.) Smith, Narvon; grandchildren: Brandon W. (Tiffany) Smith, Jeremy R. (Aisha) Smith, Jessica L. (Bryan) Roush, and Vaughn M. Wiest; sisters: Mary Pancrazzio and Ruthann Greathouse; and brothers: Clair and Charles Miller.

Siblings Viola Ristenbatt and Robert and Earl Miller, predeceased him.

Join the family for a “Time of Sharing” on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown. Private inurnment with military honors will take place in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
