Rebecca Fisher, Ephrata native
Rebecca B. Fisher, 82, of Sarasota, Fla., died peacefully Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 of natural causes. She had been under a doctor’s care.
Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Drusilla Beiler Stoltzfus. She was the wife of the late Ben Fisher, who died in 1998. She did domestic work, was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and attended the Pinecraft Amish Church in Florida.
She is survived by seven stepsons: Aaron, husband of the late Malinda Stoltzfus Fisher, of Lancaster; Elmer, husband of Mary King Fisher, of Strasburg; Jesse, husband of Rebecca Stoltzfus Fisher, of Lancaster; Menno, husband of the late Katie Stoltzfus Fisher, of Lancaster; Benjamin, husband of Emma Fisher, of Gap; John, husband of the late Annie Stoltzfus Fisher and Annie Miller, of Rebersburg; and Alvin, husband of Anna Beiler Fisher, of Friedens; a dear friend: Natasha, wife of Scott Hindman; step grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; step-great-great-grandchildren; six siblings: Lydia, wife of Reuben Beiler, of Strasburg; Mary, wife of Christ Riehl, of Quarryville; Menno, husband of Emma Flaud Stoltzfus, of Loganton; Samuel, husband of the late Annie Miller Stoltzfus, of Laurelville, Ohio; Anna, wife of Elias Beiler, of Leola; and Katie Stoltzfus, of Leola; 26 nieces and nephews; 134 great-nieces and nephews; and 233 great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter: Sarah Esh; two stepsons: Christian and Leon Fisher; a stillborn stepson; one sister: Lizzie Stoltzfus; and two brothers: Levi and Stephen Stoltzfus.
The funeral will be at the home of nephew, John Beiler, 989 May Post Office Road, Strasburg, PA 17579 on Sept. 23 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Bart Cemetery, Georgetown.
