Reuben W. Weaver III, 62, recycling business owner, farmland preservationist, cyclist

Reuben W. Weaver III, 62, of Ephrata, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the Harrisburg Hospital.

He was born in Ephrata to Reuben and Ella H. (Wenger) Weaver.

Reuben attended the Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church. He was an avid bike rider, a member of the Lancaster Bicycle Club and Lancaster Farmland Trust. He was the owner of Reuben’s Reusing and Recycle. He was a farmland preservationist.

In addition to his parents; he is survived by three sisters: Josie, wife of Mike Wenger of East Earl, Janis, wife of Brian Preheim of Ephrata, Jill, wife of Angelo Miele of Elizabethtown; nieces and nephews: John Wenger, Sarah, wife of Justin Hange, Josh, husband of Kendi Wenger, Rachel Wenger, Matthew Preheim, Tom, Ben and Frank Miele; great nieces: Charlotte Hange, Kallie Jo Wenger.

Services were held May 22 at Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church, with Pastor Jason L. Hoy officiating. A private interment took place in the Springville Mennonite Cemetery.
