Richard ‘Dick’ E. Buohl, 70, formerly of Ephrata, Woolworth warehouse worker, NASCAR fan

Richard “Dick” E. Buohl, 70, of Seminole, Fla, formerly of Lincoln and Ephrata, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, at Palm Garden of Largo Nursing Home in Seminole.

He was the loving husband of Juliana Root Dundore for 20 years, and son of the late Walter F. and Carrie R. (Ansel) Buohl.

Dick was born in Reamstown, and was a former member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church in Denver. He retired from the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., after 17 years employment in the maintenance department. He previously worked at the H.W. Woolworth’s warehouse in Denver, and for a local roofing company. Dick was an avid NASCAR fan and loved going to auto races and hunting.

In addition to his wife, Julie, Dick is survived by his daughter: Veronica Schlott of Johnstown; three grandchildren; three step-children: Kim (Dundore), wife of Henry Manning, of Elizabethtown; Patricia Dundore of Lancaster; Lisa Dundore of Wallingford;, and Mark Dundore of Marysville; four sisters: Shirley Haller of Lititz; Charlotte, wife of Larry Shober, of Ephrata; Fay, wife of Parke Loose, of Lititz; Darlene Weidman of Ephrata; one brother: Walter P. Buohl, husband of Marie, of Denver; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, at Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, 11 S. Muddy Creek Road Denver. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
