Robert C. Justice, 80, Denver, Sperry New Holland worker, active at Reamstown church

Robert C. Justice, 80, of Denver, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center Inc. in Narvon.

He was born in Monroe, Va., to the late Lloyd M. and Hattie Elizabeth (Tull) Justice; and was the husband of Lois V. (Gehman) Justice, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

He was a member of the Reamstown Church of God where he served as treasurer, choir director, Sunday School teacher, and played on the church softball team. He also played in league softball for the Bollman Hatters’ fast pitch softball team. He was very supportive of his children and grandchildren and attended many of their activities over the years. He was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Robert worked in the inventory control department for the former Sperry New Holland for more than 30 years prior to his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by four children: James D., husband of Nancy (Armstrong) Justice, of Mercersburg; Sandra J., wife of late Robert Cox, of Whitehall; Larry A., husband of Christine (Blackman) Justice, of Haw River, N.C.; and Karen S., wife of the Rev. Joel Hainley, of Denver; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Services were held March 7 at Reamstown Church of God, Stevens, with Pastors Arthur Karick, Marcus Abernethy, and Joel Hainley officiating. Interment was in the Muddy Creek Cemetery.
