Ronald W. White, 63, EHS class of ‘68, welder, known for quick wit, big heart

Ronald W. White, 63, of Ephrata, was called home to his heavenly Father, Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.

He was born in Lancaster to the late Francis and Ruth M. (Fletcher) White and was the husband of Betsy White.

Ron was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ephrata, where he was very involved and a dedicated member. He was a 1968 graduate of Ephrata High School. Ron worked as a welder at Case New Holland and after his retirement, Martins Repair Shop. Ron was known for his quick wit, big heart and generosity.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by a step daughter: Tina Cunningham; a cherished granddaughter: Kim Cunningham; two sisters: Jean Hamilton, Marilyn Rauser; his beloved niece: Wannetta, wife of Mark Farmer; and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: James Edward White

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church, 68 N. Church St., Ephrata, with Pastor Walter S. Carter officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
