Rose Mary Bryson, 72, Ephrata, mother of three, nurse, devout Catholic, animal lover

Rose Mary Bryson, 72, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Mease Countryside Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., following a brief illness.

Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Rose (Turi) Miles.

Rose Mary was a 1961 graduate of Warwick High School and a 1963 graduate of The Lancaster School of Nursing. She worked at various hospitals, nursing homes and in private duty for more than 40 years.

She was a devote Catholic and a devoted and dedicated and caring mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Rose Mary loved Florida, and spent the last two years in the Clearwater area. Rose Mary also loved animals especially her Boston terrier, Zoey.

Rose Mary is survived by her three sons: John W. of Schuylkill County; James D. of Manheim; and Jeffrey A. of Ephrata; grandchildren: Erica, Felito, Orlando, Sergio, Nathan, Brady, Tia, Olivia, and Hunter; three great-grandchildren; a brother: Charles J. Miles of Denver; and a sister: Christine M. Miles-Sullivan of Morgantown; along with many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog: Zoey.

She was preceded in death by her husband: John W. Bryson; and her grandson: Nicholas Bryson.

A burial mass was held on Nov. 16 at Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Ephrata. Interment followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ephrata.
