Roy Maricondo, 69, Akron

Roy P. Maricondo, 69, of Akron, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at Mifflin Health Care Center, Shillington.

He was the son of the late Rocco and Theresa Scandifia Maricondo. He was the husband of Sheila M. Shay Maricondo for 37 years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children and three grandchildren.

The funeral was held on Dec. 19 at Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Ephrata. Interment took place in Wolf Cemetery, Ephrata.

Dad said, "God was short on comedians."
