Ruth Mae Graver, 75, Stevens, worked for RCA/Burle, enjoyed photography and cooking

Ruth Mae Graver, 75, of Stevens, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital Friday morning, July 31, 2015.

Born in Holtwood, on Sept. 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Lester R. and Mabel E. Miller Graver. She was the companion of Clair J. Eshleman who passed away in 1999.

Ruth graduated from Penn Manor High School. She was employed by RCA, GE, then Burle Industries for more than 41 years in production. She loved her job and loved to work. Ruth enjoyed cooking and could always be found with a camera in her hand taking pictures. Her free time she spent with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her son: Rod S. Graver of Columbia; and her daughter: Kathy L., wife of Keith M. Horst, of Stevens; grandsons: Brandon S. Graver and Kreeden K. Horst; granddaughters: Brittany N. Graver; Kaylyn N., wife of Jordan Dohner; Destynee L. Graver; Tifani R. Graver; Kenzie M. and Kyra M. Horst. Ruth is also survived by her brother: Barry W., husband of Nadine Graver, of Holtwood; sisters: Charlotte E,. wife of James D. Miller; and Peg L. Pennell; both of New Providence; and Jean E., wife of Gary Aukamp, of Willow Street; and sister-in-law: Georgia M. Graver of Willow Street.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Richard and Elmer Graver.

Ruth’s funeral was held Aug. 4 at Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, The Gundel Chapel, Conestoga, with the Rev. James Goudie officiating. Burial was in Boehm’s UM Cemetery, Willow Street.
