Ruth S. Auker, 81, Ephrata, Denver Mennonite Church member

Ruth S. Auker, 81, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016.

She was the wife of James S. Auker, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Selinsgrove, she was the daughter of the late William B. and the late Lydia B. Stauffer.

She was a member of the Denver Mennonite Church.

In addition to her husband, she has six surviving children: Connie, wife of Kenneth Gehman, Denver; Glenn, husband of Erla (Zimmerman), Mendon, Mass.; Ray, husband of Faye (Hostetter); Jay, husband of Carol (Witmer), both of Denver; Timothy, husband of Martha (Ehst), Scipio Center, N.Y.; Michael, husband of Ronda (Horst), Gettysburg; 41 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Dorothy, wife of Lester Martin, Denver; and Anna Stauffer, East Earl.

Her funeral was held Feb. 8 at Denver Mennonite Church, with Harold Good, Wilmer Weaver, Luke Sensenig, Mark Sensenig, and Philip Sensenig officiating. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
