Sarah M. Bucher, 74, Lititz, EHS class of ‘58, was Roy Rogers restaurant manager

Sarah M. Bucher, 74, of Lititz, passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Audubon Villa Nursing Home.
She was born in Uniontown to the late George and Elma Jean (Tressler) Whetsel and was the wife of Ronald D. Bucher, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.
Sarah was an Ephrata High School graduate, Class of 1958. She loved bingo, playing cards, and especially loved her chihuahua, Sugar. She also loved having a good time with friends and family. In her earlier years, Sarah worked as a manager for the Roy Rogers Family Restaurant.
In addition to her husband, Sarah is survived by two sons: Thomas L. (Janis) Bucher and Randal D. Bucher; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers: Ronald E. (Cheryl) Whetsel; George E. Whetsel and fiancée Linda Groff; and Ralph H. (Cathy) Whetsel; and two sisters: Kathryn L. Parmer and Patricia A. Gourley.
In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her step-mother: Mary E. Whetsel.
A viewing will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor Timothy L. Craven officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Fairview Cemetery.
