Shiela Dean ‘Deanie’ Haldeman, 66, homemaker, devoted to her family, member of Liberty Baptist Church

Shiela Dean “Deanie” Haldeman, 66, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 after a long, hard, courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Hinton, W. Va., Deanie was a daughter of the late James D. and Harietta (Kirk) Davis and wife of Randy L. Haldeman.

She was a devoted wife who loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren immensely. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Ephrata, and was a homemaker.

“I love my Lord. I never lose faith in my Lord.”

In addition to her husband, Randy, Deanie is survived by one son,: Larry Peters (Ann) of Conestoga; eight grandchildren: Randell, Renee, Richelle, Makinsay, Jadyn, McKenna, Aleesha, and Joshua; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Joan Eckman of Landisville; and two brothers: Dennis Davis (Laura) and Albert Strubel, all of Columbia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters: Debra Peters, Danielle Peters, and one stillborn daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at Liberty Baptist Church, 47 Cindia Lane, Ephrata. Friends will be received before the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Place of interment will be Middle Creek Brethren Cemetery.
