Sidney L. Buck, 76, Navy vet, dispatcher, Adamstown Community Days, Fire Co. volunteer

Sidney L. Buck, 76, formerly of Adamstown, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at home in Lebanon.

He was the son of Earl and Alice Buck. He was the loving husband of the late Nancy Buck, who died in March 2013.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Lance Buck.

Sidney is survived by two children: Jill Henderson of Pottersville, Mo.; and Janelle Brewer, wife of Chadd, of Lebanon; five grandchildren: Tony and Destiny Brewer, Tyler and Jordan Henderson; and Kait Buchter; and one brother: Randy Buck, wife of Susan.

Sidney retired from Lancaster County-Wide Communications as a dispatcher. He was a long-time member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Adamstown and Adamstown Fire Company. Sidney volunteered as the announcer at Adamstown Community Days and was very active in his local senior center.

Sidney was a proud Navy veteran. While in the Navy, he served on the USS Forrestal.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Sandy Gideon were held at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Adamstown, on April 16. He was interred at Bergstrasse Cemetery in Ephrata.
