Susan F. Turner, 89, mother of six, Terry worker, Bright’s retiree, enjoyed flea markets

Susan F. Turner, 89, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully Jan. 19, 2017, at Maple Farm Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past two years.

Susan was married to the late Harvey Turner Jr. for 40 years before his passing in 1985. Born April 9, 1927, in Blue Ball, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Bauder) Rauser.

Susan enjoyed working; she worked 34 years for the Terry Manufacturing Co. In her later years she worked part time at various local restaurants, eventually retiring from Bright’s Restaurant at the age of 78. Susan enjoyed gardening, flea markets, yard sales, dining out, and her cats.

She is survived by her sons: Harvey, Barry, and Terry, all of Ephrata; daughters: Linda and Lana, of Denver; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Troy; a grandson: Frederick; brothers: John, Henry, and Samuel; and a sister: Bertha.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Maple Farm for keeping Mom healthy and happy these past two years.

Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata.
