Tadeusz ‘Ted’ Lesniara, 68, founded Maya Positioning Equipment Co., avid pigeon flyer

Tadeusz “Ted” Lesniara, 68, of Reinholds, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Poland to Wladyslaw and Janina (Morawa) Lesniara, and was the husband of Barbara (Reczmien) Lesniara, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage.

Ted truly lived the American dream. He and his family immigrated from Poland in 1982. He worked very hard, built his own house, and was the founder of Maya Positioning Equipment Manufacturing Co. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. Ted was also an avid pigeon flyer, and enjoyed boating and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by three children: Eliza, wife of Darek Krasnodebski, of Poland; Margaret, wife of Matt Arment, of Denver; and Piotr, husband of Sarah Lesniara, of Lancaster; nine grandchildren; a brother: Jozef Lesniara; and a sister: Marta, wife of Krzysztof Siwiec, of Poland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Franciszek Lesniara.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 4, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m.
