Trudy (Sweigart) Miller, 60, EHS grad, beauty consultant, enjoyed the beach, caring for pets

Trudy (Sweigart) Miller, 60, of New Holland, entered into rest March 3, 2016, after a brief illness.
Born April 8, 1955, in Ephrata, she was the wife of Glen R. Miller. They would have celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in April.
She graduated from Ephrata High School and Empire Beauty School, earning her cosmetology license. She was employed at Dutchmaid Inc. prior to starting her career as a beauty consultant working for Hair Express. She eventually worked as a front desk clerk for New Holland Comfort Inn. She enjoyed cooking, reading, going to the beach, traveling, and caring for her numerous tamed and wild pets.
Surviving are three step-children: Glen C. Miller of Ephrata; Jodee, wife of Jeff Bratton, of Cochranville; Misty, wife of Curt Kroesen, of Manheim; two step-grandchildren: Samantha Gordon and Wyatt May; a brother: Peter Potteiger, husband of Lourdes, of Linares, N.L. Mexico; niece: Sarah, wife of Rob Lowry, of Gainesville Ga.; and nephew: Noah, husband of Alicia Potteiger, of New Cumberland.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents: Elaine and Wilfred Potteiger; and sister: Heidi Potteiger.
Trudy’s celebration of life was held at Pilgrim Bible Church, New Holland, on March 8, with the Rev. Norman Griess officiating. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Trudy’s honor to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
